Protein productive value (PPV)
Protein productive value (PPV) is a typical parameter measured in animal experiments and husbandry. PPV is caclulated by the equation:
PPV = 100 × [protein gain (g)] / [protein intake (g)]
Because PPV contains the protein gain, proximate composition should be determined before and after the period of interest.
