Vector

In molecular biology, a vector refers to a vehicle that carries a DNA fragment to a host cell.

There are several different types of vector such as plasmids, cosmids, phages, viruses, bacterial artificial chromosomes (BAC), and yeast artificial chromosomes (YAC).
