Glycosylation
Glycosylation is the reaction in which a carbohydrate is attached to another molecule by forming a covalent bond.
In biology, glycosylation usually refers to an enzymatic reaction, whereas "glycation" typically means a non-enzymatic reaction. When glucose is used as the carbohydrate glycosyl donor, the reaction is called glucosylation.
