Genetics

Geneics is a branch of biology about heredity and variation.

Modern genetics comprises two key aspects: classic genetics based on Mendel’s theory and molecular biology rooted in DNA sequencing technology. Advances in DNA sequencing, genome editing, and bioinformatics since around 2010 have expanded the field of genetics.
