Reactive oxygen species, ROS

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are molecules containing oxygen atom(s) and reactive to other molecules.

Typical biological ROS includes hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), superoxide (O2-), and hydroxyl radical (·OH).
