Adipogenesis

Adipogenesis is the process by which adipocytes develop from precursor cells.

Developed adipocytes often accumulate as adipose tissue at various parts of the body.

• In humans, adipogenesis has been referred to as a ‘healthy’ expansion of AT (adipose tissue), whereas hypertrophy and a limited adipogenic capacity are linked to metabolic disorders [1].
